Chase and Status took time from the busy schedule to answer some questions for Manicfm.com on there success so far this year, and what they have in the pipelines.

2005 has been quite a year for Chase & Status, are you suprised about your success?

To be honest it's been more surreal than suprising - we're just pretty pleased that our work is being well received.

What has been the highlight of your year so far?

Possibly getting a phone call saying 'Andy C just rewound Duppy Man 5 times at Fabric' or goin in at number 1 in the Radio 1 Drum and Bass chart and number 3 in the National Dance chart with 'Love's Theme'

You have been described as having a style that suits everyones tastes in Drum N Bass, is this what you set out to do?

Haven't heard that description but we definately set out to write all styles because that's what we're into...

Please describe your studio set up?

Our studio set up had shrunk to solely software. At the minute we're rockin Kontact 2, Cubase Sx, a phat PC, Motu 896HD soundcard, Mackie HR824 monitors and a bucketload of soft synths and software..

Have you any tips for the aspiring producers out there?

Constantly compare your tunes to tunes that u know have a phat mix down - the mix can make or break a tune. Don't send tunes out until your totally happy with them - first impressions count.

What are you working on at the moment?

Right now we're finishing off an E.P for Renegade Hardware and an E.P for Bingo. We've also done a tune with Jenna G for her album and a few other projects including a lot of hip hop.

Is there anyone that you would like to work with within the scene?

Plenty - Sub Focus, Pendulum, Noisia and Calyx to name a few..

Anyone you would like to big up/ mention or promote?

Everyone who's supported us.....B.C cru, everyone down @ Bingo & Renegade Hardware and everyone else...
